Servant Information/Rules

First I want to state this is NOT a BDSM room.  There are no slave/sub/Dom-me relationships.  There are no slaves other than those mentioned during a rp (ie:  The Skaith warriors kidnap women and sell them to slavers).  The amazon lifestyle is known to have male slaves bond to them.  But even in Areatis Island there will be no slave/Mistress relationships.  The following information will explain what is allowed as a servant or apprentice character.

After a few questions have been brought to me regarding the place of servants in the realm I decided to do up this page. 

In this time period it was as well as the present it was normal for people to 'work' for others.  Cooks, maids, bartenders, etc.  This brings into play servants.  A servant is not a slave.  Period.  Again I won't have that rp brought into Rydion.  What is allowed is the following:

Servant:  A servant is one who works for another person.  Usually this is a nanny, cook, maid, personal assistant, etc.  It is common for them to address those that they work for as Lady or Lord though there are no royal titles other than the King in Rydion.  This will be accepted but not expected.  A servant is allowed to leave the service of their employer at anytime.

Bond Servant:  When a person finds themself bankrupt or in the debt of another often they will offer them services to this person.  A bond servant is provided room and board and is paid a salary.  Part of their salary must be used to pay off their debt/bond to the person they are working for.

Apprentice:  An apprentice is one who works under another to learn a trade.  For example it is normal for warriors or blacksmiths to take on an apprentice.  An apprentice may start out doing what would seem as menial tasks such as cleaning weapons or the shop.  They eventually work their way up until they learn the trade or skill. 

Ok, now the hard part.  To address the Areatis Island theme.  Yes, this is an amazon island.  Yes, that lifestyle usually takes on male slaves.  But as I said a zillion times and will continue to do so this is not a BDSM room there are no slave characters.  What will be allowed with Areatis Island and Rydion is:

Companion/Assistant:  A companion or assistant is one who serves another person willingly and is free to leave the service of the person at anytime.  They would be very close to the person.  Again they may address the one they serve as Lady, Lord, Sir, Ma'am.  But this is not expected.  This is alot like a servant but the relationship is closer and less likely to end abruptly.  Alot of the time they may have been in the service of the person for years and the relationship between the two has simply grown.  Head servant status could be applied to this.  The companion or assistant would see to the person's needs and house/property as requested.
